Our mission is to ignite potential in Florida’s youth through literacy, cultural pride, leadership growth, and meaningful community engagement. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we deliver access to books, learning opportunities, and empowering programs that help teens excel academically, embrace their identity, and lead with purpose. Together, we turn readers into leaders and build stronger communities through knowledge, culture, and service.
Reading Literacy & Intervention Services
Our reading literacy intervention services provide students with targeted support to strengthen foundational reading skills, build comprehension, and increase academic confidence. Through small-group instruction, one-on-one tutoring, and culturally responsive materials, we meet students where they are and help them progress toward grade-level proficiency. We focus on developing strong readers who are prepared for academic success and lifelong learning.

Literacy Connections provides students with the reading support, resources, and learning experiences needed to strengthen literacy skills and ignite a lifelong love of learning. Through tutoring, book access, reading circles, and enrichment activities, we help youth build strong reading foundations, boost academic success, and grow as confident, capable learners.

Our cultural awareness program celebrates identity, history, and global perspectives. Students explore African American history, world cultures, and diverse stories that reflect their lives and broaden their understanding of the world. Through interactive lessons, cultural events, discussions, and creative projects, we promote pride, unity, empathy, and respect across cultures.

Our leadership development program equips youth with the confidence, communication skills, and decision-making abilities they need to become positive changemakers in their communities. Through workshops, service-learning projects, mentoring, and real-world leadership opportunities, students learn to lead with purpose, integrity, and cultural pride.
